Thanksgiving evokes emotions and actions of gratitude – from expressions of gratefulness shared at the family dinner table and decorations bearing reminders to “Give Thanks” to feelings of plenty as we survey harvest’s bounty and the blessings in our own lives.
Thanksgiving is also the perfect time to express generosity, both personally and professionally. This holiday season, practice intentional giving. Give to your friends and family by listening to them, offering specific help, and sharing their burdens. Give to your coworkers by sharing your resources, mentoring the less experienced, and demonstrating kindness daily. The beauty of giving is that it also blesses the giver, through increased joy and fulfillment and the bond of strengthened relationships.
